Thornton-Pickard Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Altrincham, Cheshire, U.K.)

Roller Blind Shutter with Wooden Body - c. 1890

Notes:  Thornton-Pickard made a relatively large number of mousetrap shutters that have survived on or with American view cameras.  The vast majority of them are mahogany and brass, like this one.  They could be installed either immediately before the lens or immediately after the lens.  They also made a focal plane roller blind shutter.
