Notes:

This example of a leather-covered Hawkeye is unusual in that its left side large door does not have brass hinges, but rather was made using merely the leather covering as a hinge (now separated).  It also has a thick wooden spacer between the main body and the front hinged door.  These are features that do not match images of other leather-covered Hawkeyes.  It may therefore be that this is an early version, made before it became obvious that the leather alone would not make a decent hinge for a door opened every time an exposure was made.
