James Stringer (1833 - 1879) and Maria (Abt. 1831 - ?)

James Stringer was born Abt. 09 Nov 1833 in Caledon, Ireland (Mullaghmossa Townland) and christened 09 Nov 1833 in Caledon, Ireland (Aghaloo, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland).  He was the son of John Stringer  (Abt. 1806, County Tyrone, Ireland - Abt. 17 Apr 1848, Derrykintone, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland) and Susanna Collins (Abt. 24 Mar 1804, Caledon, Ireland (Aghaloo, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland) - Abt. 07 Jul 1847, Derrykintone, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland).  He died 09 Nov 1879 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA.  He married Maria (b. abt. 1833, Ireland) about 1854, probably in New Jersey. They had three children:

     Margaret Stringer (Abt. 1855, New Jersey, USA - ?)
     Sarah Stringer (Abt 1858, New Jersey, USA - ?)
     Mary Jane Stringer (Abt 1861, St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA - ?)

Church of Ireland Aghaloo, St. John's Caledon Baptisms 1825-1855 (MIC/1/326/A/1-4): Baptised 9 Nov 1833 James to John and Susan Stringer - he is a labourer - residing in the townland of Mullaghmossa.

Ancestry.com immigration records: the ship Hannah Kerr, arriving May 5, 1849 into New York City from Belfast, Ire., contained the passengers: Jane Stringer (12 yo), James Stringer (15 yo) and Sarah Stringer (19 yo). These are the only Stringers on the Hannah Kerr, but the next passenger is Eliza Collins 18.
