Blair Camera Co.

Unknown View #3 (Rear Focus)

6½x8½

Date Introduced: - ; Years Manufactured: c. 1885
Construction: rear focus via push-pull; double swing; reversing by removable back; three piece lensboard
Materials: mahogany body; cherry base; black fabric bellows; brass hardware
Sizes Offered: at least 6½x8½
Notes: This camera is a back focus frame camera similar to the ROC Favorite or Gennert Nancy Hanks.  The camera is not marked, but comes with three Blair plateholders (and fits them).  The curvature on the rear base is reminiscent of Gennert cameras, but the large springs on the back, grooved base, plate-holders, and the three adjustment knobs are Blair or reminiscent of Blair parts.
