Low Mfg. Co./Kalamazoo Shutter Co.
Low Kazoo Shutter
No. 2 - c. 1895 - c.1901
Notes: The odd name
of this shutter comes from the location of the manufacturer, Kalamazoo, MI.
Kalamazoo apparently was a hotbed of this type of shutter, also being the
location of the Michigan Photo Shutter Co., makers of the Packard-Ideal
Shutter. Low Kazoo Shutter No. 1
has nickel-plated metal parts. A
plain version painted black is called Low Kazoo Shutter No. 2.
